Summary: The Solent Enterprise Hub in partnership with Wired Wessex and Portsmouth City Council, are running a networking event for Portsmouth based businesses during Portsmouth City Council's Festival of Innovation.
The focus of the event will be the launch of the Portsmouth Technology Forum (a city council initiative), a network for local technology based businesses which will aim to provide support, and opportunities for collaboration.
Hampshire based solicitors White and Bowker will be providing a session on collaboration, focussing on 'the ins and outs of joint venture partnerships'. Finally, delegates will be able to learn more about the benefits of Wired Wessex and the Enterprise Hub, and the services these organisations provide for IT businesses in Portsmouth.
The Portsmouth Technology Forum will aim to develop links between businesses; to exploit new technologies and joint ventures; to support new sales and supply chain opportunities, and enable training opportunities as well as the sharing of transferable workforce skills.
Delegates attending the networking event will be invited to put forward their views on the issues facing small businesses, and the type of support that would be most useful in terms of helping them expand in both existing and new markets.
