Directions to Haslar Marine Technology Park
Haslar Marine Technology Park
58 Haslar Road,
Gosport
PO12 2AG
Approaching along M27 from West by car:
Leave M27 at Junction 9 (Fareham West).
Follow A27 towards Fareham, crossing two roundabouts.
A27 then descends a fairly steep hill, and at the bottom move into right-hand lane and turn right onto B3334 (Titchfield Road) to Stubbington.
Follow signposts to Stubbington and then Lee-on-Solent. Road will take you along the sea-front at Lee-on-Solent.
Continue on, and turn right towards Stokes Bay at the Kingfisher Caravan Park and right again at a small roundabout at the end of the road. This is now Stokes Bay Road (see map).
Continue along Stokes Bay Road, and across small roundabout into Fort Road.
Continue along Fort Road, past golf course on your right, around left-hand bend and then turn right into Haslar Road. The Main Gate is on the left.
Approaching from North or East by car:
Leave M27 at Junction 11 (Gosport) if approaching from East.
Follow A32 from Fareham to Gosport. This eventually becomes Forton Road (see map) and then Mumby Road, leading to the ferry and bus terminals.
The road joins South Street; continue along South Street and turn left into Haslar Road which takes you over Haslar Creek and past the Royal Naval Hospital Haslar. The Main Gate to QinetiQ Haslar Marine Technology Park is on the right near the far end of Haslar Road.
(Note: Haslar Road is also the location for the Royal Naval Hospital (RNH) Haslar and HMS Alliance/Submarine Museum. There are signposts leading to these places throughout Gosport.)
By rail:
Nearest mainline station is Portsmouth Harbour (not Portsmouth and Southsea). On leaving the station turn left to the passenger ferry to cross to Gosport. A ticket must be purchased from the ticket machine for the crossing from Portsmouth to Gosport. After leaving the ferry at Gosport either turn left along the sea-front footpath or turn left along South Street and then left again into Haslar Road. Both routes lead to a narrow road bridge over Haslar Creek. Cross the bridge and continue along Haslar Road for about 1 km (0.5 mile), passing the Submarine Museum and the Royal Naval Hospital, Haslar on your left. The QinetiQ Main Gate is on the right side of the road.
On arrival:
On arrival please report to the Reception desk where you will be issued with a security pass and either met by, or directed to your host.
